Toby Fountaine
Toby joined Reviewed & Cleared as a consultant in 2025. He is a highly experienced media lawyer specialising in all aspects of publishing, film, television and related matters such as film tech, IP, copyright and distribution (publishing and television/film).
Qualifying as a solicitor in 2008 at a mid-sized London firm, Toby went on to spend several years at a boutique firm in the West End. He then became head of department and part of the senior management team at a London/Home Counties firm. Latterly, Toby was a partner at a large, full-service City of London firm advising on media law.
Toby is also a professional writer, publisher and an award-winning director, screenwriter and film producer. He has founded both a publishing company (mainly literary fiction), and a scripted film and television production company (mainly drama and comedy).
His wide range of first-hand, technical knowledge in all angles of the publishing, film and television industries gives him a unique insight into what his clients require and need, and allows him to give practical, no-nonsense advice.
Toby enjoys working with clients and business owners who have a great ethos and a passion for their industry, and for content creation. He finds helping creative projects through to completion hugely rewarding.
