Leanne Kyle
Leanne is a specialist media and entertainment lawyer with 18 years’ experience advising on editorial content and pre-publication matters and business affairs.
Before joining Reviewed and Cleared, she spent almost two decades as an in-house lawyer in the television production industry, most recently as Head of Legal and Business Affairs for Banijay. She has worked as the lead production lawyer on hundreds of hours of television advising across a wide range of genres including high risk and sensitive documentaries, arts, entertainment, kids, comedy, reality and scripted programming.
Leanne has an in-depth knowledge of the legal, commercial and editorial issues facing clients in the creative industries and her expertise covers all elements of editorial content advice (including defamation, privacy, contempt, regulatory compliance, duty of care, confidentiality and intellectual property).
In addition to her editorial content work, Leanne can also advise on all aspects of business affairs, supporting projects from development through to publication including all commercial, financing and contractual matters.
Leanne is a Scottish qualified solicitor as well as an Attorney at Law, licenced to practice in New York State and has worked extensively on projects that film and transmit around the world. This multi-jurisdictional experience enables her to bring a broad international perspective to matters.
