Kelsey is a media and entertainment business affairs lawyer, recognised as one of Europe’s foremost legal authorities on generative AI.

She supports a variety of clients across the audiovisual, publishing and media sectors, as well as those in the creative and performing arts. An intellectual property and contracts lawyer by background, Kelsey's specialism is advising on the intersection of personality (publicity) rights, copyright, and the use of GenAI such as deepfakes. She also offers expert advice on reputation management, privacy, branding, advertising, and social media platform regulations.

A sought-after public speaker, Kelsey regularly presents at industry events and has appeared on several news programmes to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by AI. Her research contributions appear in academic textbooks, peer-reviewed journals, and government policy publications. Kelsey is also an advisory board member of vera.ai, an EU initiative for media and journalism professionals to combat disinformation and misinformation.

Originally from the West Coast of the United States, Kelsey brings an international perspective to her practice. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2018, she obtained a diploma from Harvard Law School’s CopyrightX course and is now studying to become dual-qualified as a California attorney.

When not at her desk, Kelsey likes exploring London and beyond with her husband and young son.
