Neg Checks & Script Research
Neg Check reports at R&C are more than just a document that ticks a box for an insurance application. Our reports are blueprints that outline all clearance aspects of your project’s script.
Not only will we check all character names, business names etc but we’ll also flag potential clearance issues, offer invaluable advice and suggest pragmatic workarounds learned from years of clearance experience.
When Neg Checks are engaged in conjunction with R&C legal read and Clearance Services we work in tandem with our R&C legal and clearance consultants to resolve any issues and present you with solutions, rather than merely flagging them.

Custom Built Clearance Documents
Our live custom tracker has been designed to make the transition from Production to Post to Delivery as seamless as possible. Production can view clearances in real time during Prep and Shoot. Post can trace every item seen in the Final Cut through custom filters and views.

FULL SERVICE
Billed per day – based on between 2 and 5 days per week for prep and shoot (available all week)
We liaise directly with departments and approve or seek permission for clearance queries. Log all requests and clearances in a live tracker with links to all fully executed releases ready for delivery. We have a Content Lawyer advising our team included in this quote.
Clearance is taken care of wholesale with this service.

ADVISORY
Billed per week (one day’s work) for prep and shoot (available all week)
Production is responsible for the leg work of clearance – receiving requests, getting releases signed off, keeping tracker updated. We’re on hand to advise if clearance is needed, where and how to clear things when clearance needed (best practices, contacts, pragmatic workarounds etc). We have a Content Lawyer advising our team included in this quote.

NEG CHECK/SCRIPT RESEARCH
Billed per script
Neg Check identifies potential conflicts including character names, business names, product names, organisation names, trademarked and copyrighted material.
The fee also includes the additional art dept name checks too (for mocked-up graphics etc)
